Job Fair Report
JOB FAIRS SUCCESSFUL
ACTIVITIES 2010
We are aware that Police Services and other organizations across the country are developing strategic recruitment plans to increase representation of women, aboriginals, visible minorities and disabled persons in their organization. As part of our community outreach program; we are seeking to assist police services across the Greater Toronto Area in facilitating an information session in the format of a job fair and a career workshop for young people of visible minorities and others who are interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement and to become proud members of the Canadian Armed Forces serving Canada by defending its values, interests and sovereignty at home and abroad.
We have worked closely with many Police Services and other organizations for the last 5 years promoting this initiative in various communities within the City of Toronto and at the same time meeting face-to-face with motivated young people offering guidance and encouraging them to be members of these organizations.
We have had a very successful year in this activity, our achievements were:
They were all very successful, both the presenters and participants were impressed with our presentation.
The presenters were Toronto Police, Ontario Provincial Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, York Regional Police, Peel Regional Police, Prisons and Canadian Security Intelligence Service.
We look forward to continuing this worthwhile service to our Community in 2011.
Sincerely,
