Brother Odell
GEPAC Accomplishment
February 2006
Members, friends, associates and well-wishers
I have always been enthused on occasions when my people, and more particularly the ex-police association or its members shine brightly in the community. Today I am similarly inspired by a young member who has pleased us greatly and made yet another giant leap in becoming the Co-chair of the Black Community Police Consultative Committee of Toronto.
On Feb. 08, he defeated all odds to become – if I am not mistaken – the youngest Chair of BCPCC. This person is Bro. John O’DELL, President of GEPAC, and V/P of the ALLIANCE, among other things. He is indeed an inspiration and a model in particular to our youth. He is a tireless and selfless worker.
The idea behind the formation of GEPAC was to showcase the capabilities and talents of its members in the community, while developing the community and ourselves, to foster love, camaraderie and to be beacons wherever we may be. If this young man has not lived up to these expectations and fulfilled the prerequisites of a shining star, then, who has? May the light and wisdom of the Supreme Grand Architect chart your course and mould your thoughts and attitude as you rise in his universe!
Congratulations Bro. John.
William Henry,
Vice Pres., Guyana Ex-Police Ass. Of Can.
